Fashion Blog: Marni at H&M on the 8th March.

This is one I am really excited about. Can't wait to see all the pieces. See the whole Marni at H&M commercial here.

Fashion Blog: Reliable, Stylish Zara.

Zara is reliable. Zara is stylish. I can always make a list of items that I would like to take home from any of their stores worldwide. Their sales are great too.

I love click and collect. It secures the items I would like in my size and also enables me to have good browse around the store when I pick up my package of delights.

The Zara.com sale and the Zara in store sale is almost at an end, there are still some great everyday pieces to pick up from the sale and ever brilliantly priced, quality apparel in the Zara new season collection.

My thrifty buys from the Zara sale are:

The Snake Print Full Length Maxi Dress With Side Split.
Was £69.99. Now £22.99.

The Shearling Wedge Ankle Boots
Was 79.99. Now £39.99.

Fashion Blog: A Wearable Leather Day to Evening Dress

Leather is so tactile in ones hands, so luxurious. Wearing it can be tricky, generally too much leather and lack of textured accessories will look out of place in most settings.

I fell in love with the Rag & Bone Ashfield Dress many weeks ago and have stared at it longingly as it held pride of place in my ShopBop.com "Hearts List".  This dress has comfort, fit and style. The leather is on the front. The neckline, sleeves and back are a good quality knit. This works as there isn't black leather against skin on the upper body which can create a sallow look in the Winter weather, especially at the neck. The fit and style are also great, the knit on the back and sleeves not only makes this a comfortable dress, but it looks good when you are sitting down. The balanced mix of sumptuous soft leather and soft knit make this a perfect day dress, with a great scarf and some suede short boots.

My Ashfield Dress is from BlackWhiteDenim.com.
It was £650. Now £192.

Fashion Blog: Tailoring from Rag & Bone

I have really wanted to update my winter wardrobe with a few new daytime pieces for a while now. Smart, functional pieces that will also work for easy traveling and springtime too.

My objects of desire and weeks of stalking arrived from TheOutnet.com to my door.

The Rag & Bone Sullivan Stretch Blazer.

Was £465. Now £139.50. 70% off.
White stretch-wool, notched lapels, long sleeves, front flap pockets, contouring seam detail, vent at back. Designer-stamped button fastening at front. 98% wool, 2% elastane.

The Rag & Bone Hampton Wool Shorts.
Was £250. Now £87.50. 65% off.
High-waisted, pleated front, side pockets, back slit pockets. Concealed zip and designer-stamped button fastening at front. 100% wool. In Dark Charcoal.

I am little shy of trying new designers, blissfully sticking to tried and trusted names for quality, fit and longevity. Rag & Bone NY has forced my out the my comfort zone, I have been online stalking a few of their pieces for a while and blogged about the Ohara shirt dress some weeks ago. Rag & Bone NY established in 2004 and have stood their ground in the high quality, great fabrics and good tailoring niche. It's hard not to yearn for most of the pieces in each collection, all so wearable.

When placing my order at the Outnet.com, I took advantage of the free shipping for that weekend. Since signing up with the website when it was first launched I have been pleased to receive their emails, the offers are worthwhile, the stock is excellent and the flash sales / weekend sales are marvelous Friday evening browsing.

Finally Back! And Celebrating with Fabulous Shopping!

Finally back! After two months away from my computer my eyes have finally been given the all clear from the opthalmic surgeon. I am delighted to back to the luxury of blogging and getting in touch with my readers. Thank you all again for your messages of cheer.

After a weekend and a week of reading, using the computer and a general eye use extravaganza I felt ready to embark on some genuinely fabulous shopping. I like buying in February with the the forceful Christmas and New Year advertising behind me I feel refreshed and ready to shop at leisure. I never buy anything in December and January. February brings a glimpse of pre-spring collections in store and in my in box, the comfort of autumn pieces (some at great prices) and the knowledge of what is comming for summer.

I have ordered a few pieces that I have been stalking online for a while from TheOutnet.com, Zara.com and BlackWhiteDenim.com. I will detail over the next three days in separate posts.
